1919
The beginnings
The history of the Belle-Vue Hotel began in 1919, when Marie-Jeanne Le Meur decided to pursue a career in tourism, which was just beginning to take off in the region. She bought a house in Cap-Coz and quickly turned it into a restaurant, refreshment bar, grocery store, and hotel, which she expanded over the years.
1968
A hotel for a stay
In 1968, she handed over the business to her niece, Yvonne Kernévez, who had grown up with her and had been assisting her for several years. Yvonne continued to run “the house,” which was primarily a hotel offering full and half board. Further renovations and improvements were made, and from 1956 onwards, there was a significant influx of foreign guests, particularly from the UK.
1996
Children develop restoration
In 1996, Anne and Yves (the Kernévez children) took on responsibilities, developed and expanded the restaurant business, and year after year, modernization and upgrading work was carried out.
The clientele remains loyal and here too, generations follow one another: “Belle-Vue” is a fixture. The atmosphere has remained family-friendly and welcoming.
2010/2011
The modernization of the hotel
In 2010/2011, major renovation and modernization work was undertaken, enabling the hotel to upgrade to a three-star rating under the new standards and become accessible to people with disabilities.
Every year, work is carried out in the hotel or in the park to maintain the working environment in line with current standards and tastes.
At over 100 years old, the establishment still has plenty of plans for the well-being of its guests and the happiness of its owners...
